The Dream With draws!?! As I was driving home on my lunch break, the announcer on 93.9  said the Dream was retiring. Dream then called in to the radio station saying R&B is heading in a good direction  he did his part, he’s dropping his last album on 6/7. He only had three albums? The First one sounded like autotune on steroids the radio bangers where alright other songs a bit much. Second Album I Liked,  Third album Can’t Call weather or not I like it that’s yet to be determined. I like Cry It has an old school genuine soul feel to it. Love King has Catchy Hook The Beat Sound like a Upbeat blend Mix of all his songs with added standout Bass line.  That was a short lived Career! I wonder if its because RB is swaying back to Singing. Death to The Auto Tune Death To Careers! He’s an Excellent Song Writer Defiantly something to fall back on Tpain Quick! One More Album before AutoTune Train Stops!  Next Stop Tpains Retirement.  :D

On Sunday MsSoSick, Dj Commish and I had the pleasure to interview Uncle Magic,Styles P and Gage. Oh boy it was good times I was practically lmao the entire time. Styles P is a true definition of a Gangster and a Gentlemen. Set to release his book June 1st with a soundtrack to go with his book titled “Invincible,” Styles has been working on other side projects with new Dblock Artist such as AP who was present also.

I’m so through with the fact Uncle Magic roasted me on our own show yet alone Gage making me fall out my seat.  I can say I love each and every Sunday on Bitch About it with MsSoSick!  This interview was like no other!!!!

Gage

On Thursday I had the pleasure to actually meet Gage at the DTF Radio after interviewing Papoose. I must say not only is he a charming young man but he’s a great rapper. Gage will be interviewed on “Bitch About It”  with MsSoSick and myself March 21st 11-1am est.

New York City grounds stand to be the most competitive platform for hip-hop music. Artists battle, beef and compete against each other daily for titles, record deals and credibility. They post music on Web sites, distribute mix tapes & perform in showcases in hopes that the right ears will hear their stories. Among those artists is a Brooklyn-born-and-raised 20-year-old rapper who, to many, is known as Gage.

Gage’s story is one of the few that is built from the ground up. Growing up without a father figure at 3 years old, he was forced to live in a homeless shelter with his mother and two brothers for two years. To feel a sense of normality in his life, Gage found great comfort in playing sports, particularly baseball and basketball, with his brothers. At the age of nine, he wrote his first lyrics.

A very young, street-smart Gage recorded his first song at 12 years old. Producers and engineers noticed that, even while that young, he was especially strong in utilizing an essential amount of energy and near-perfect poise to successfully package a track. Powerful lyrics, all-around great delivery and versatility led gage in being the first unsigned artist to ever perform two consecutive years on the worldwide-known Funk master Flex Car & Bike Show tour. At this tour, Gage realized that he can move a crowd with his music just as well as any known artist can…and this was soon known all over New York City. After the Flex tour, Gage took the title at Vibe’s Unsigned Hype Tour, and, in no time, Gage’s name, under DTF Entertainment & Management, was included in every major artist showcase throughout New York & beyond. He took the winnings in every hip-hop artist/rapper competition he entered. His street team was found all over the tri-state handing out mix tapes and Gage promotional items. Gage was on his way.

With so much story and hustle behind him, Gage only has great things to look forward to. With great support and untouchable talent, New York City and the world can only expect the best in Gage.

On Thursday March 11th I had the pleasure to interview Papoose with MsSoSick on WWW.DTFRADIO.COM. I can say after this interview I have even more respect for Papoose. He touched on various issues such as Remy and his relationship to what even goes down on the visit. I respect him for sticking by her and holding her down usually men expect women to do it so here’s a man doing it ladies marrying her “till death do them part.”

On March 4th I called into the show from Boston as Dj Commish and MsSoSick interviewed Darnell Wright, Avery Storm and Rsonist  of  The Heat Makerz.

Darnell Wright was on I love New York 2 and I think he’s funny as hell.  Darnell has done over 300 shows nationwide, and headlined 4 sold out One-Hour-One-Man shows. He’s performed in almost every major club including the most recognized Comedy Club Caroline’s on Broadway in NYC.

Avery Storm is an Italian-American musician from New Jersey, signed to Nelly‘s record label Derrty Ent. He has worked with artists on the label such as Nelly, Murphy Lee, Ali, Gipp, and other artists including Rick Ross, Daz Dillinger, Jermaine Dupri, Diddy, Jagged Edge, Jadakiss, Notorious B.I.G., and others. He is most famous for his feature in The Notorious B.I.G.’s posthumous song “Nasty Girl.” Storm was formerly signed to Timbaland‘s record label Beat Club in 2001.

The Heatmakerz  is a hip-hop production Trio from Kingston, Jamaica. The Trio, consisting of R’sonist (Gregory Green), Thrilla (Sean Thomas), rose to fame after providing beats to various releases of The Diplomats. The bulk of albums like Diplomatic Immunity and Juelz Santana‘s debut From Me to Uwere produced by The Heatmakerz. Their production style relies heavily on hard equalized beat drums, strong bass lines, strong hi-hats, snares and often sped-up soul samples. To this day, the Heatmakerz still use the same style of production. Timothy Hodge made an appearance on Beat Bangerz alongside R’sonist.

Tune in for next Thursdays surprise guest!!!!!!

In July of 2007 Lil Wayne was charged with Gun Possession and as of today March 8th Lil Wayne is being sentenced to serve one year in prison. Per sources in Novermer  Lil Wayne reached a plea deal with prosecutors and in return he will serve until October and be released. For now he’ll be placed in protective custody.

Did you idiots actually think they would place Lil Wayne in general population? If they did his last song would’ve really been the last and oh boy you all thought he kissed baby he’d probably be doing more than kissing. Personally I think celebs always get a break you give a regular guy a gun and tell me if he gets almost 8 months in jail because prison is over a year in time for those who didn’t know the difference between jail and prison.
