According to TMZ sources .. Jennifer Lopez is in the final stages of negotiations with “American Idol”.

TMZ reports contrary to some news reports … there has been no drama and no diva demands. As one source puts it, “It’s been typical negotiating.”the deal could be inked as early as next week.

“Idol” sources told TMZ the producers believe Jennifer is the key to re-energizing the show.

Shawty lo broke off the engagement with Ecreia Laki Perez about a month ago. Ecreia Laki Perez is being held on $6,000 bond after she was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Police said, “a woman tried to sneak a semi-automatic handgun and a cleverly disguised stun gun into the Fulton County courthouse.” When she was stopped, the woman was carrying a handgun and a phone with a stun gun attached.*GANGSTA* You definitely should have left those items in the car… This particular court house is known for weapons being bought in. I hope they don’t.. but I have a feeling there gonna make an example out of her during her day in court. Ruff Month for ya Ma hold ya head!

Law enforcement sources tell us L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over the multi-platinum selling rapper and his wife in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30PM. Deputies say they smelled marijuana, and after searching the vehicle they arrested T.I. and Tameka. The couple just got married on July 30 in Miami, and T.I. — real name Clifford Harris Jr. — is on probation after doing seven months in prison on federal weapons charges. We’re told T.I. and Tameka are in custody right now. Bail amount is $10,000. UPDATE: T.I. and Tameka were released around 4:00AM.
